Recombinant Human CGSF

    • Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) is a critical cytokine involved in hematopoiesis—the process of blood cell formation. Specifically, G-CSF plays a crucial role in the production and maturation of neutrophils, which are essential for our immune response. Clinically, it is used as a supportive care medicine to prevent and treat chemotherapy-induced neutropenia in cancer patients.

    • Recombinant human granulocyte colony stimulating factor (rhG-CSF) is produced in E. coli using an expression vector driven by a T7 promoter.
      Production: 10 L fermentation yields around 600 mg/L (unpurified)
      Purification: Recombinant human granulocyte colony stimulating factor is purified from inclusion bodies by solubilization, refolding, diafiltration and chromatography. Final yield of the process is around 50% (this is equivalent to 3g of pure protein from 10 L of fermentation). The purity of the product is at least 97%. The quality of the product satisfies European Pharmacopoeia requirements.

    • rhG-CSF is used of severe myelosuppression abe neutropenia caused by a variety of conditions such as radiation exposure and chemotherapy for cancer treatment.
      rhG-CSF is also used in the research of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. It plays a crucial role in the sourcing, isolation, expansion, and differentiation of these cells.
